The CCR Cave Upgrade is designed for certified cave divers who wish to apply their knowledge to rebreather diving. The goal of the course is not only to dive in a cave using a CCR, but also to safely master the specific requirements of this combination.
Using a rebreather opens up new possibilities—longer dive times, optimized decompression, and significantly more efficient gas management. At the same time, however, the demands on planning, equipment, and emergency management increase considerably.
Our training takes place at the Felicitas Mine. Historic tunnels, an extensive network of ropes, and realistic training conditions provide the ideal environment for developing all skills in a practical setting. Through our consistent 1:1 training, we tailor the course individually to your skill level and the CCR system you’re using
The CCR Cave Upgrade is designed for certified cave divers who have already gained experience with their rebreather and would like to dive in caves safely and independently using a CCR in the future.
The course builds on your existing cave and CCR knowledge and combines both areas into a comprehensive safety concept.

A rebreather does not replace solid cave diving training—it complements it.
That is why we not only explain the technical differences between open-circuit and CCR diving, but above all, we train divers to remain calm, act in a structured manner, and stay safe even under stress.
Standards form the foundation of what we do. Our goal is to train you to become a safe and responsible CCR cave diver who understands their equipment, accurately assesses risks, and can make informed decisions.
